Short Course and Modelling Workshop
Short Course & Modelling Workshop will be held on Monday (September 9, 2019) preceding the AMPERE Conference.
The Short Course is offered in a traditional lecture format while the Modelling Workshop offers the attendees the opportunity to participate in hands-on exercises with advanced electromagnetic modelling packages.
The Short Course & Modelling Workshop will be held in the 2nd floor of the Nexus Building (6G) of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
Short Course: Room 2.13
Modelling Workshop: Room 2.14

Short Course
Course Organizer: Prof. Felipe Penaranda Foix, Universitat Politècnica de València
The traditional Short Course is a premier event to introduce the participants in the fields of microwave and RF heating systems, technologies, and applications in many scientific and industrial processes.
The short course consists of five talks by academic leading experts in a classroom-like format.

Modelling Workshop
Course Organizers: Prof. José M. Catalá-Civera, Universitat Politècnica de València, Prof. Vadim Yakovlev, Worcester Polytechnic Institute
The one-day workshop will present to its attendees a general overview of capabilities, resources, and achievements of contemporary computational tools applicable to typical scenarios in microwave power engineering including:
- Introductory lectures outlining modeling principles and basics of the underlying numerical techniques;
- Hands-on sessions and experimental verification allowing the participants to work (under the guidelines of the instructors) with simple models, run simulations and interpret their results;
- Users’ presentations demonstrating examples of successful modeling efforts in a variety of R&D projects.
(Attendance is limited to 25 registrations, due to the available seats in the computer's room)
